Barney Hanratty a native of Oghill lifted a cart in his arms. He was seen by Edward Hanna and James Heenan.
Patrick Mc Elearney lifted an anvil and two stout men standing on it in Morgan's forge. The men standing on it were Joe Connolly and Pat Mc Manus. The onlookers were Pat Morgan and Hugh Mc Donnell.
- Swift Runners
Willie Mc Grath, a native of Castleblayney. He ran many races and was the champion runner of Co. Monaghan for many years.(continues on next page)
