  1. Superstitions concerning Certain Days.
    If a mare foals on Whit Sunday the foal will either kill or be killed. If a man starts to plough on Saturday it is said that he wont get it done that month without some rain.
    If a child is born on a first Friday it will have good luck.
    If you cry on New Years Day you will cry the whole year round.
    A child that is born on Christmas Eve will have good luck and a long life.
