  1. One evening a maid was going with the tea to some workmen in a field near Tobermannan bridge when she saw a dark man standing on the bridge. At sight of her he began to walk quickly. He had just gone three steps when fire blazed forth from his mouth. At that moment the basket fell from the maids hand and the griddle cake fell out on the bank of the river where it immediately disappeared. There is a large stone shaped like a griddle-cake to be seen in the spot where the griddle cake fell.
