There is a well in Donaghmoyne called St. Patrick's well. In the time of St. Patrick there lived a druid named Manning in Donaghmoyne. St Patrick went to this man one day to speak to him and while St trick was speaking he struck the ground with his staff and immediately a well sprang up.

There was a man living in Donaghmoyne called Longfellow and he could change himself into anything he liked and he changed himself into a fish frequently. St Patrick heard about this man and he wished to speak to him. St Patrick went to house and asked Longfellow but he was told
