In Farney bold, you are of time

    told a place of fame.
But the place I dwell none can excell. Raferagh is its name.
Its greeting kind you will always find and greeting of good will.
Amongst one and all, both great and small, by the waters of the mill.

When the evening air is balmy, the ladies take their walk. Such fine attire, all must admire.
    Though critics sneer and mock.
To see those smiles and glances
bright. With joy one’s heart would fill. He’s crowned for life, who wins a wife. By the waters of the mill.

When the golden sun sinks in the west. And toil of the long day is o'er.

The casltle hacks, the whiskey tax.
    And promised Home Rule Bill.
    Are all freely commented on.
