    warbled over
    And praises of her lovely face are sung
    from shore to shore
    Oh, Irish maids are charming, so a few words I may say
    About the darling girl I love the Maid of sweet Lough Fea
    II. Round Kingscourt town are sprightly
    dames of noble graceful mien
    No lighter footsteps ever did trip across the dewy green
    But not for me their light foot-fall
    nor charms to portray
    My admiration and my all the Maid of Sweet Lough Fea
    III. In County Meath are lovely maids I hardly can forego
    And tempted often times I've been by my[?] round Ballyhoe
    But neither smiles nor maidens wiles can lead my heart astray.
