  1. Once upon a time there was a gentleman living in Kill-Coleman near Milltown. His name was Captain Spring and he owned a pot of gold. When Cromwell invaded Ireland Captain Spring was afraid his gold would be taken from him. One day he got a servant to bury the gold in a certain place and when it was buried he took a pistol out of his hip pocket and shot the servant. Dead men tell no tales.
