  1. Lismacfinnan got its name from a man named Fionán who lived there.
    When he died he left his property to his son Fionán Óg, and ever since it is called Lismacfinnan. Lismacfinnan means the fort of the son of Fionán. When Fionán Óg died fairies were seen playing football in this fort.
    They were also seen playing a harp and dancing on top of the house.
