There are two graveyards in this parish - one at Kilbonane and one at Listry. Both of them are almost square. In Kilbonane graveyard there are the ruins of a church. It is ivy-covered and roofless. There are many graves inside the ruins. Kilbonane and Listry graveyards are both quite level. There are yew and elm trees growing in Kilbonane graveyard. There are some very old tombs in Listry graveyard. Some of them are falling to pieces. In the ruins of the church which is in Kilbonane graveyard there is a large stone slab with ogham writing on it. The slab is now broken in two parts but the writing can still be seen on it. There are many protestants buried in Kilbonane graveyard. It is said that a man named Patrick Piggot once went to Kilbonane graveyard and began to dance on one of the tombs. A man named Frank Donnelly whistled for him. One the next day Patrick Piggots legs became swollen and Frank Donnellys mouth became turned.
