should be left inside at night because when the dead call they say "Feetwater, feetwater, open the door". The feetwater is supposed to be able to open the door for the dead.

  2. The people of old were about sixteen years of ago before they ever wore a boot. When they wanted boots then it was impossible to get them big enough because their feet had grown to a great size. School-children go barefooted to school during the Summer months. The people wash their feed in luke warm water. They put salt and Jeyes Fluid in the water. Some of the people wore wooden shoes called clogs. Boots are made in the district by John McCarthy. He mends boots also. They made leather in the district long ago from the hides of cows. The uppers of the shoes were made of leather.
