  1. Tiarna Talún
Long ago there were about four landlords in this district. Their names were Oliver Eager, Mr. Stokes, Mr. Lawlor and Mr. Drew. The landlords were in this district until about the year ninteen hundred and four. There were about six or seven families evicted in this district. The landlord evicted them because they could not pay the rent. The evicted families had then to live in timber huts by the roadsides. The landlord sent bailiffs to the house of any family whom he wanted to evict. The bailiffs put the family from the house. Then they quenched the fire and locked the door. Sometimes the landlord left a caretaker in the house to see that the evicted family did not return.
Landlords were often bribed to evict certain families and give their houses and land to other families.
