Mo ghrádh is mo laogh thú is De bheatha chugham,
Mo ghrádh do bhéal is t-éadan leathan-geal,
Mo ghrádh t’intinn nár smaoin riamh m’atharach,
Mo ghrádh go deo thú sé mo bhrón bheith sgartha leat
    11.
    An Fear:
Go deimhin a rúin níor thugas masla dhuit,
Níor rughas liúm tú gan cead ód’ bhanaltrain
Níor shín t’fhear pósta fós ar leabaidh leat,
Is ní túisge a sínfidh nó mar shinfeadh-sa eadraibh.
    111.
    An bhean:
Nach olc an grádh é taréis mórán ceana dúinn
A’ cur m’fhir pósta go deo is n-earraid liom,
Ag troid is ag coisgear is ag siorriú ag acrann
Is gan tusa beo agam chun mo bhrón duit aithris.
