  1. "O'Donaghues" a descendant of whom relates this story lived for centuries back in Lior Baíbe. About one hundred years ago they owned a yellow cow and no matter on what pasture in the farm she was put to graze she invariably returned to the fort and fed there. She yielded a firken of milk night and morning and was famed and prized for the quantity and quality - of same.
    She was stolen but was traced and found in lior na gcraob four miles distant - She was driven home but was never content
