  1. One night a man was coming home from a wake it was about twelve o' clock and the moon was up. He was travelling through fields and he had a flash-lamp. When he went into this field all around him became dark and the lamp would not light.
    He was falling over pits of potatoes and he could not reach any fence and he had to stay in the field until the sun got up in the morning. When he looked around him there was no pit of potatoes in the field because it was inside in a meadow he was.
