  1. There was once a woman who was very wicked. One night she was very sick so she sent her son for the priest. When the priest was passing the woods he heard somebody singing Mo Cailín Deas Crúaidhre na mbó. He was singing so nicely that the priest stopped to listen until it was finished. Then he went away to anoint the sick woman as quickly as he could. When he reached the house the woman was dead. That woman lived in Rathmore and that song is cursed ever since.
