    If you met a black cat on the road it would be good luck.
    To go in one door and come out another door brings bad luck.
    On May day if a woman came to the house for milk you should put a pinch of salt into it or if you didn't she'd carry all the milk of the year.
    Three of the same Christian name in the same house - three John's three Mary's etc - is unlucky.
    If you pick a horseshoe on the road it is a sign of good
