  1. Cloc Mocuda ( Second Note )

    It was only in later years that the "pilgrim" returned to Killarney heard Mass and communicated. "The tradition points to the fact that Cloc Mocuda was definitely a "Mass Rock". Some hold that the phrase "If the robin appears your request is granted" meant that if the priest known as "the robin" came the people got what they wanted ie. they were able to hear Mass. Cromwell granted all kinds of privileges to Jews and hence many think the word "robin" was invented to cover "rabbi".
    Cromwell did not interfere with the religious arrangements of the Brownes.
