  1. Rathmore Monks
    The monks lived in Mucross for some time Later they left that and came to Rathmore and lived where the Parish Priest lives now It was an old land - Lords house and when he left it they got into possession there and a number of years later they settled at Mount Millery and took all their belongings with them from Rathmore there. It is said that the monks order was a very rigelioius and holy order It was not easy for them to settle at Mount Millery because they had trouble and Danniel O'Connel the liberator had to fight their cause and wone the battle in a way they could never be evicted from their farm.
