    (Kerry) and houses along the station were badly damaged.
    The windows of the train were broken to pieces.
    When the news reached Killarney a troop train came to Headford for the dead soldiers, whom they took with them, and on their way to Killarney they were ambushed again but lost no men on either side. They also took with them the commander of the IRA who was not given to his people for some days.
    There was a song composed about it.
