  1. There was a great football match played at Lacka, (Ballydesmond, Banteer, Co. Cork) between Tureencahill and Lacka. The game was played between two townlands, and a great crowd watched the game being played, and Tureencahill won. There was a football match played between Renasup, (Gneeveguilla, Co. Kerry) and Bailenaholna (Ballydesmond, Co. Cork). There were nine men on each side. The scores were threee goals, two points for Renasup and two goals one point for Bailenaholna.
