  1. There are a great number of football matches played in this district now. There was a match played in Tureencahill (Gneeveguilla, Rathmore, Co. Kerry.) about three weeks ago.
    It started at two o'clock, and ended at four o'clock. There were fourteen men on each side. The men were picked - from Tureencahill and Renesup. The scores were. Tureencahill five goals, three points and Renasup, two goals, two points. Patrick Sheehan, Tureencahill scored two goals, two points, and Michael Daly (Renasup, Gneeveguilla, Co. Kerry_ scored two points. There was also a match played in Lacka fifty years ago in the field where the creamery is built now. There were thirteen men on each side.
