- ChurningWe have a churn at home. A churn is two feet wide across the bottom, and a foot wide across the top. The sides are round and sloped. It is about forty years old. The various parts are: the staff, the board, and the cup. There are no marks on the side or bottom. In the Summer time it is made twice and in the winter it is made once a fortnight. The different members of the family make the butter.
