  1. The Local Fairs
Fairs are held in every town in the country now-a-days. The nearest fair in this district is Knocknagree fair which is only about three miles from my house.
In olden times there were no fairs held there. The people used to sell their cattle at the houses. Sometimes the people used to walk to cross-roads to sell their cattle.
There are about three or four men making every bargain. It is always a custom to give some back-money out of the price of the animal that is sold.
