Three brothers named Healy lived in Meenigishagh near the school.

Three brothers named Healy lived in Meenigishagh near this school. They were arrested. They were charged with the murder of the Driver of the Mail Car from Tralee to Cork. His name was something like Bréithre. He was killed on the old road to Cork near Shinnagh, and that part of the road is called Boithrín na Breítre. The three Healys were hanged and they were innocent.
