There is an old fort in Pat Leary's land in Gullane.

There is an old fort in Pat Leary's land in Gullane. In the middle of it there is a big stone about eight feet high, and about five fet wide. There is an old stone ditch around it. The people around say that the danes were there long ago. They say too that a Giant from the Two Paps about ten miles away, threw the stone there. One morning an old woman saw a naked child leaving it and he crying and after a week he was seen coming back again. The people around say too that music is often heard under the stone. On the stone there is the print of a man's fingers and toes. Children who died before Baptism were burried there.
