  1. On the Bean Shee
    There is a certain house in Gullane, it is Jane Fitzggerald's house, and is a new one. There are two old women living in it.
    A Bean-Shee was heard near the cowhouse, one night. This was about the middle of the Summer. They were saying the Rosary, and they heard the crying outside.
    At this time, there was a girl living in the house. Her name was Margret Teresa. There was a servant in the house also. The people in the house thought that it was young children who were crying.
    They sent the girl out to see who was crying, and she saw no on. The crying went on all the time, and not a person was seen. It was the Bean Shee.
    About a month after this, Margret Teresa got ill and died. Often after that, the crying was heard near the house. Many people heard
