    Ochone! that we're called on his loss to regret,
    For his was the heart to be prized when you'd know him -
    A breast in which candour seemed splendidly set,
    A Milesian paternally, equal maternally
    Honor internally externally beamed,
    And Simon O'Keane be remembered fraternally
    While the sun the dear shamrock to rouse yet is deemed;
    That scion of our forest where virtue was shining,
    Where grandeur was beaming is marbled in clay,
    That pure simple mind in Knockane that's reclining
    Was the emblem of friendship while life in him lay
    In rarest of filligree traced is his pedigree.
