  1. There is a fort in a field near Knocknagoshel. The field is owned by a man named Partick OConnor living in the Village. One evening there was a woman from the neighbourhood coming with a can of milk on her head. As she was passing this fort the can was pitched off her head and the milk spilled. When the can reached the ground she heard great laughing underground. She picked up her can and she got a can of milk at a neighbour's house on her way home.
There is another fort in a field back in Boula a townland near Knocknagoshel. Long ago there were three old people living there. They were very poor so poor that they used have to eat nettles, raw turnips, and stumps of cabbage for food. Their house was made of mud and stones. One night the house fell down on them and killed them on the instant. It was easy to kill them because they were old and weak from hunger. Once every year since they died there are huge bigs lights seen there.
