  1. In Sonney Cotter's farm of Túirín Eocaidh, Brosna it is supposed that treasure is hidden in a fort. The fort is about two fields from Cotter's house. It is unknown by whom or why it was placed there.
An attempt to unearth it was made by a neighbouring person but he failed to find any thing there. People also went at night and began to dig, they found the [?] in which the gold was supposed to be but by ill-luck enough the gold had disappeared. Animals are not supposed to be guarding the treasure, but light has sometimes been seen there.
