  1. (continued from previous page)
    the funeral is gone off.
A grave is never opened on a Monday, or on Good Friday. Pigs are never killed on a Friday. No child goes to school on Monday for the first time. Neither will a cow be changed in a house on Monday. Weather on Friday is usually different from weather of the week. "As Friday is so is Sunday."
When digging a grave do not lie down inside it to measure it. Relatives never put the last sod on a person's grave. Coffins should not be taken in over the wall of the church. Before covering them with earth screws of coffins must be loosened and put on top.

  2. Never cut a branch off of a fort, and on no account attempt to dig it up. A man known to dig the fences of a fort got a very severe illness. His leg got sore and swollen, and rags and bones were taken out of it.
Another man ploughed the interior of the fort and his two sons died of bone disease inside of ten years.
