  1. Three men by name Fitzgeralds, lived in this parish, many years ago.
    The three of them dreamt one night that a hidden treasure was to be found in a vault in Kilmurry Castle.
    Early next morning they set to work in search of the supposed treasure. Though they spent a long time digging in the castle their search was all in vain. As they were digging something frightened them and the search was given up. People say that the hole they dug is still to be seen.
