  1. A good cure for cold is Lemon Syrup. Put in a basin a pound and a half of loaf sugar, an ounce of citic acid, with the rind and juice of two lemons. Pour over all a quart of boiling water, and let it stand till cold, stirring occasionaly. Strain and bottle. Mix a wineglass of this to tumblerful of water.
