  1. It is said there is a foal's skin full of gold in the corner of a field by the side of the River Flesk. It is hidden under a large stone and is covered with rushes. No one ever tried to dig the hidden treasure but it is said there is a light seen there certain times every year.
    It is also supposed that there is gold hidden under a lone whitethorn tree on Currow Hill. Many dug for this treasure but all failed to find the right spot.
