  1. Fifty years lived a man and his wife. They were so poor they could not buy a candle for Christmas night. They were very upset over this. In the morning when they got up they found a candle lighting by the side of the wall as there was no window in the house. They thanked God for this. This family were known as Briens and lived near my father's house.
