- (continued from previous page)who brought me to the house of Mr. Doody who lived in an isolated place near Caher Village. A remnant of Irish seemed at that time to have lingered in the locality and it seemed to be a district rich in folklore.
Here is the account of "Bruidhean Móna Mhuilinn" which to my mind is an account of a famous faction fight. Mr. McCarthy has in all probability given an account of it already to the folklore society. In case he has not I now respectfully forward the same.
- Ar maidin go moch Dia h-Aoine,
Tháinig a chunntas cruinn chúghainn;
Ná leogfadh óg ná críona
D'ár mbuidhin teacht níos mó;
Domhnach ná lá saoire.
Ná na maribh do chur sa chill ann
