  1. Names of fields:-
    The "Closed in Pound" is so called because it was closed in by high fences and used as a bedding-place for cattle at night.
    The "Leaca" is so called because it is situated on teh side of a hill and contains but little soil.
    "Dómnaillíns Pound" is so called because a man named Dómnalillin Connor lived there and kept his cows there by night.
    The "Mountáne" is so called because there is black surface underneath it.
    The "Spring-Well-field- so called because it was from a spring well in that field the people of the district brought the water in olden times.
    "The Three Wines Field" because the amount of hay which grew in it was always three "wines."
    "The Tounns-so called - because a noise is heard in it similar to the noise of the waves.
    The "Kiln Field" because there is a lime-kiln situated near it.
    The "Flax Hole" is so called because the people had flax steeping there long ago.
    The "Pound" as it was used as a bedding-place for cattle
