    went towards Killbawn. As he was passing Twomey's forge near Maglass, then also owned by a Twomey, an old travelling woman came out and said that she dreamt the night before that the same priest went on a journey and never came back alive. On went the priest up to where the present road crosses the river.
    There was a flood in the river at the same time. The priest's horse went across but he heard the whine of his little dog on the other side. He crossed again to bring the dog over the river. Alas the flood bore him to his death and his corpse was found later in a sort of a natural coffin
