    when poultry were sick they were fed with dandelion (caisbreán[?]) and nettles cut up mixed with meal gruel.
    The cure for the mange in a dog was to get sour milk and mix some sulphur with it and then rub the mixture into the dog's skin.

    A cure for the fits in dogs' is to get heath (froac) and boil it for over two hours, then strain it off and them mix the heath water with the dog's ordinary food.
    This heath was got here locally in a place called the Gleann (Glen).
