  1. About 70 years ago there lived in Listellick a man by the name of Jerh OBrien. He used to go to town every day drinking one day as he was going to town he met the parish priest. The priest told him that it was a sin for him to be getting drunk so often. He also told him that every time he had drink taken the devil was at the tail of his coat.
    That night Jerh arrived home drunk. He demanded the scissors and he cut off the tail of his new coat.
