   When donkey's bray it is a sign of rain.

   When the sea-gulls etc. fly towards the sea it is a sign of good weather

   When the moon is turned on its back it is a sign of rain.

   When the dog eats grass0tops it is a sign of rain.

   When the fowl pick themselves it is a sign of rain.

   When there is a rain bow in the sky in the evening is a sign of good weather but if seen in the early morning it is a sign of rain

   When the clouds in the sky are small and mackerel coloured it is a real sign of rain and storm.

   When the ducks "quack" in fine weather it is a sign of rain.

   When the Bumble Bee (Criompatán) is heard in the evening late it is a sign of near rain.

   When the Gobáirín Reón is heard (or Jack Snipe) it is a sign of frost or dew.

   When the geese screech and suddenly fly off it is a sign of rain and wind.

   Fog in the summer is for heat, in the Winter it is followed by gales.

   When you hear the black-bird Chirping in a winter's evening it is a sign of frost.
