    Schooling was carried on in farmers' houses.
    Teachers lodged then in farmers houses.
    Irish was not taught.
    Writing was done by painted feathers.
    There were black boards.
    There were hedge schools.
    In Chohar Village the hedge schools were.
    Ped Prenderville and a few others taught in these schools.
    Half a crown a week and their supper was their pay.
    Every scholar learned Arthmetic, Reading, Writing and Geography.
