    informed them that the monks lived there, in order to be safe himself. When the monks saw them coming they ran in the direction of the sea intending to hide themselves in a great lake there. They overtook the monks before they reached the sea. The killed them there and buried them on the side of a big road still known as "Bóithrin a' Thragha". Afterwards the informer got a cruel death from the Cromwellian soldiers over the graves of the monks. It is believed that the monks are seen in "Sgaint" and also at "Bóithrín a' Thraigha" certain times in the year.
