    lodgings, and if they are poor they got it. Their bed consists of straw and a quilt which they have for the purpose. The alms they accept are potatoes, tea, and money.
    Some of them travel on foot and others in caravans. Most of them travel in families and other in bands.

    The Briens
    The Coffeys and the Briens travel most frequently to our district. Each of these has a special day for coming. Some of them tell old stories that they bring from distant parts, and all the people gather to hear them.
