  1. The soldiers being on the march, were sometimes obliged to halt on the road for food and rest. Each soldier was supplied with a ticket by his officer, for the different houses in the neighbourhood wherein each were to receive lodgings.
    At seven o'clock however all were to again assemble at a certain place where the officer would supply them with cards for the following night. This morning however at roll-call
