One night a man went to a wake in Banemore. It was midnight when he left to come home and he was alone. It is said that nobody should come home alone from a wake after twelve o'clock. He gave no thought to that custom, however, and went his way. When he came in front of the "Proggarn" he saw a man coming over the fence. He had a dog with him and a stick was in his hand. He was exactly like the man whose wake he was at. He saluted him but got no answer. After passing him he looked back but saw nobody.
