Long ago a ghost was seen every day at noon on the top of the Protestant Church in Ardfert. The people were scared and if any one looked up at him that person would fall dead. The ghost kept saying the whole time,

"Píopa tobach do mharcach a' teampall cuir rang eile ar sin"
One man courageously went to the place and looking up at hims said,
