arrived on the spot at midnight. The man appeared but now they knew he was the devil. Fire glared in his eyes. He was just about to capture the boy in his arms and with chains, when the priest sprinkled Holy Water. Immediately the devil gave a fearful scream and vanished through the ground leaving a very large hole. To this day the stone is to be found in the centre of a field. Since then it is known as the "Devil's Hole Field". The boy returned home unharmed.
