    him and towards some time in the afternoon he left Castlegregory and went off in the Brandon Direction. He went as far as the foot of Conor Hill. Near the little village of Claghane. At this particular point the wild mountain pass of Conor Hill starts for Dingle. On either side of the road there are a number of Lakes. There are two on the North side of the road in a deep Glen or valley and one on the South side of the road on the slope of the rising mountain.
