  1. We often hear ghost stories but there is no authority for most of them. There are ghosts there however, and they go around the country at the dead of night. Some of them mean no harm, but other's do bodily harm according to the old people, many a person was left practically dead, after a basting from an evil spirit that haunted oakpark over eighty years ago. It was called the "Devil of the Wood" but its real name was Robert seo
    During his life he committed sins of every kind from morning till night, and as is usual with the like of him, he did not get the grace of repentance at this death. When he was on the verge of death he gave a terrible scream which was heard for twenty miles around. The lights were quenched in the big house in the wood.
