    A black snail, pounded and applied in poultice-form to a stone-bruise, removed all pus and healed it up quickly.
    Warts and other such growths on the hand were supposed to wither up by bathing them occasionally in water collected in a hole in a rock - provided the water collected was not actually put there for the purpose by any person.
